Antonella Boralevi was born in Florence. She is the author of novels, short stories and essays, a professional journalist, columnist, writer and host of TV talk shows, originator of TV formats, sole creator and author of content for her own website, cinema scriptwriter, conference and roundtable moderator, and a developer of cultural events.
On March 1, 2010, she will take office as Expert for Communication and Culture at the Italian Embassy in Paris.
She graduated in History of the Italian Language and Philosophy of Language, and went on to work as a researcher at the Accademia della Crusca and then at the Scuola Normale in Pisa. She pursued an academic career until 1989.

Starting in 1984, she conducted major interviews for VOGUE ITALIA, moving on to PANORAMA in 1985. Over time, she has also written columns and features for various daily, weekly and monthly publications (including AD, GIOIA, MARIE CLAIRE, LA NAZIONE, IL RESTO DEL CARLINO, FIRMA, DOMUS, ULISSE 2000, MAX, GENTE VIAGGI, IMAGO, and QUADERNI DI TEATRO). Since 1987, she has been a front-page writer at IL MESSAGGERO,the mayon daily paper of Rome and one of the most important of Italy. Since 1995, she has been a lead writer at DONNA MODERNA. She is also a frequent guest commentator on major television talk shows.
She writes her opinions on LA STAMPA and holds the column “Lato Boralevi” on the website lastampa.it. She writes about travels and people on GRAZIA.

Diplomatic role
Antonella Boralevi has been appointed as Diplomat at the Bureau of Foreign Affairs of Italy.She has been Advisor for the Italian Image and Culture Communication at the Paris Embassy of Italy from 2010 till 2012. Then, she has been asked to join the Cultural Department of Prime Minister Secretary Office in 2013 for developing a Project for Italian language. Now she is Special Advisor to the President for the promotion of Cultural aAfairs at the Italian trade Agency in Rome.
